The broadband connection cuts off when clicking send

Every time I click the send receive/button on Microsoft Outlook my broadband
connection disconnects.
 
well, broadband should be always connected, so it shouldn't cut off, but it
could try to dial another connection.

tools, accounts, select the account and Change - then More Settings,
Connections. Is outlook set on connect using LAN or a specific modem
connection? With broadband, you should use LAN.
