Even right clicking on the folder and selecting properties the Archive tab is
not there and the Mailbox Cleanup from the tools menu has no mention of Auto
Archive in it. Version of Outlook I have is Outlook 2003 (11.8002.6568) SP2
Part of office Professional Edition 2003. Thanks for your help.

Are you running in a home or business environment? In case of the last your
admin could have a policy set to remove this option. Contact your admin for
further details on why.

Hi Robert,

I am running Outlook in a business environment, operating sysytem is XP
Professional Ver 2002 SP1. A question asking whether I wanted to AutoArchive
or not appeared, I can't remember what I clicked because I was busy at the
time. I don't think my Admin section will have turned it off either. Any
ideas?

The Other tab doesn't have AutoArchive. All that is displayed is "General"
then "Reading Pane" followed by "Person Names". There is a blank space
between "General" and "Reading Pane" thou.

That is where it should be so it looks like it's been forced by your admins.
Contact them to make sure.

BTW; what account type are you using? Also note that Office XP is at Service
Pack 3 level (+additional hotfixes) already.
