The advantech PCM-5820 / 582X and XPe

Hi all, I was wondering if anyone has used this board. Advantech 5820
/ 5822 / 5824

I have managed to manually install the SB 16 sound driver to get the
sound working. So I'm decently happy with that. Is there anyway I
could make the XPE install the SB 16 automatically during FBA?

Now the graphics driver. this SBC has VGA output and panel LCD
controller. I managed to componentize the Geode display driver
(GeodeVGAv1035a.zip) I downloaded from xpefiles.com (it wouldn't work
if I try to install it afterwards).

But it has problem driving the LCD, The VGA output works but the LCD
panel colors looks "trashed". But it still have the general color and
image. Also when shutting down, it looks totally corrupted, I think
it is the shared memory since it seems to share bios-configurable
amount of memory from the DIMM ram.

The standard VGA driver works fine for both VGA and panel output.

Is it true that the graphics card is actually a CT69000 chip? I tried
this file from xpefiles.com too but it says the inf does not contain
information about the hardware.

Anyone who has got this board to work somewhat perfectly please let me
know your findings. Thanks!

PS. Other than the display and the sound, I only have a couple of
unknown device in the device manager, which is pretty good. The
native driver doesn't appear to run much faster than the standard VGA
though.

JJ3000,

For the Audio driver, the best way for FBA to install the driver is to
create a component. Is there an INF file for the SB 16 driver?

This is actually already the SB 16 driver from the component database
that ship with XPE. But it wouldn't auto install it because the PnP
doesn't know that the driver is compatible.
