The Story of the Three Wise Johns from the East:

"A decree went out from Caesar Gates that all the land should be blessed with a new database King.
As the birth drew near, three wise Johns from the East noticed a very bright star shining in the
sky. The star was a sign to them that a new database King had been born; so the wise Johns set out
on a journey to follow the star and find this newborn database King of the land.

The star led the wise Johns through fields and over mountains until they arrived in a town called
Redmond where it stood shining bright over the place where the new King lay. They found the babe
covered in shrink-wrap and surrounded by Caesar Gates and his knowledgeable followers. The wise
Johns knew at once that this truly was the King of databases, and they rejoiced with exceedingly
great joy and bowed down before the new King called Access.

The wise Johns each brought a gift for the new King:
Nurick brought Relation so that the King could bring forth stability in troubled times.
Vinson brought Normal Form to surround the King with a solid foundation and provide rules to live
by.
And Viescas brought SQL so that the King could interact with other sources and gather information at
will.

And suddenly a great army of heavenly angels led by Cheryl Fischer appeared before them singing
praises to the new database King and rejoicing for all the people of the world. Then the wise Johns
returned to their native lands to spread the good news to all who may listen."



BTW, Yes I know there are four MVP "Johns."

Absolutely. I keep fighting back tears when I think about it.
 
I just noticed the Memorium on mvps.org yesterday...been away from the NGs
for awhile. Cheryl was a very nice lady, and its a shame she is gone.
