Thanking a post quetion supplier

You can tell I am new at this. I sent a quetion to this newsgroup and
received an answer. How do I go about thanking that party.

Normally you would keep all posts about one subject in one thread and just
say "thanks" there. That way the person(s) who answered your question knows
that their advice worked.

This gives me the chance to suggest that instead of using the rather
dreadful web interface you set up a real newsreader, which is the best way
to access Usenet newsgroups. This is *very* easy to do. Here's information

Since you are using the web interface, you may not realize that this is
really a newsgroup. You will get far more out of this resource if you learn
to use a newsreader. There are many good newsreaders for Windows, but you
can use Outlook Express since you already have it. Here are some links to
