hmm, i also notice that this Op is quick to post a hostile and foul-mouthed
response, just as Steve has frequently done when questioned or criticized in
any manner...

True, but if this was Steve then there'd be a liberal sprinkling of these:

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

he did offer me lot of help outside of the discussion board, can't thank him
enough for his time and effort

When I want to thank someone for their help, I stand on a box in the
town centre and shout it at the top of my voice. Oh, hang on ...

I'm relatively new to the whole discussion board thing. so i preferred to
communicate thru emails. i can see y i opted to do that.

I don't need a database specialist to defend me, i can well defend myself.
Guess all i need to do is keep communicating with you guys and i'll be a pro
in no time. the next time when i'm over at my cousins' , who're half my age
and hence carry half the amount of my sensibility, and i get into a stupid
argument with them just cuz they can't understand a simple thing, i'll
remember u all and how u people taught me to defend myself in a immature
manner.
keep up the good work :p

I don't think it's me who's gone over-board . it's u guys who've dragged this
unnecessarily. all i'd posted was a thank u note, which was the least i
could've done for his effort. but ofcourse some people can't stand it . guess
what . it's not my problem.
watever. :p

Since he did not help you through the newsgroups, why bother posting a thank
you in the newsgroup? The more you say, the more you sound like one of
steve's sock puppets.

I hope you charged steve a reasonable fee for this non testi-moan-ial.

PS: Steve, get a life.

So, in other words, you're not going to bother to prove that you're
not a sock puppet.

Check.

Yes, it *is* your problem, because you've associated your own
reputation with that of someone who is not to be trusted.

There's a *long* history here of bad faith, and whether or not you
knew about it, you've got your foot deep into it.

That is, assuming you're a real person, and not, as seems most
likely, just a sock puppet.

Guess what? Based on your behavior here, you've probably just landed
in the killfiles of most of the people in these newsgroups who are
likely to be able to provide you the most help.

Congrats on that!

You'll need to change you name if you ever want any help from all the people
you've ostracized thus far. But wait, all you need is Stevo's hand up your
arse, right?
