I was a rank beginner in this subject when I first heard of spyware and what
to do about it. With the help of MS Antispyware discussion group, the very
patient and calm Bill Henderson MVP, who taught me the most about this topic,
I feel I have become better able to handle potential problems with spyware.
My machine is now reasonably well catered to in this regard and continues to
produce clean scans.
I took the plunge and, for the first time in my computing life, downloaded
MSAS beta1 and later Defender to be a tester, in my own humble way. This was
a tremendous learning curve for me, as well as being very interesting,
insightful and satisfying that I could contribute to those little
developer-beavers producing a useful and much-needed product. Bill
Henderson's knowledge of this subject made it easy for me to do this, and
this is my way of saying 'Thank You, Bill, for all your help.' Of course,
surfing the group and reading about others' experiences also instilled
further understanding about this topic.
May each and every one of you who posted this year please have a good
Christmas and Happy New Year. May 2007 bring you greater insights! Cheers!
