Text to Speech

I discovered by acciodent that I can use speech to text.
But there appears to be no HELP about commands etc.

However as far as Text to Speech is concernbned i have
not been successful.
Question 1: Is TTS, Text to Speech included in XP?
Question 2: If yes then how can i get XP to speak a chunk
of text to me?

Yes
Look under accessability. It's for blind people.

Speech To Text is not part of XP. It comes with Office XP. Though MS has always given free downloads of TTS and STT since 95 and they sold it with their sound card in win 3.1.

It's still downloadable as part of the Speech SDK.
