I am using Windows XP SP2.The speech properties in my control panel does not
have a speech to text tab.It only has text to speech tab. Also when I right
click on my taskbar and go to Toolbars there is no option for Language
Bar.Now I want to use my microphone but there is no option to do that. Can
anybody please tell me what is the problem and how can I correct it ? Thanks
in advance.

Much of this, particularly the voice recognition and the language bar,
comes with Office, not with XP itself. The voice recognition engine isn't
always installed otherwise.

Do you have MS Office installed?
