I'm new to Frontpage (Version 6.0) and have a problem
that I can not solve, even with my two reference books.
Here it is.
I'm importing, in Frontage, a graphic generated with
Photoshop in ".gif" format, properly sized down. In order
to eliminate the "background" from the imported file and
capture the "background" in Frontpage, I use
the "Transparent Color Button" on the "Picture Toolbar",
as recommended by the manual(s). This works fine in
either "Normal" or "Preview" mode. I save the page after
every operation.
Then, I decided to add a text on the picture, using
Frontpage commands and here comes the problem. When the
text is added, everything looks fine in "Normal" mode,
BUT when I switch to " Preview" mode, the "Old"
backgroung behind my graphic shows up again...!!!, giving
a white square behind my graphic. Eliminating the text
would correct the problem. What do I do wrong ? I noticed
that my references books are showing the example with a
white background. Is it a coincidence or it only works
with white background ? Or maybe I'm doing it wrong
altogether.
How can I eliminate this problem...??? Thanks in advance

You need to do all image modification in your image editing application, not FP so that you can
maintain quality and control the overall file size.

Have you tried removing the back ground again, after the text is added and the image has
been saved with the text??
