Importing Graphic into FP 2002

When I import a graphic from Fireworks MX to Frontpage 2002 it looks great. Until after I save the embedded file; when I go to my preview browser it has a gray/blue border around the image. I've trimmed the canvas in Fireworks and made the background white; I still have a border. Any other suggestions? Thank you for your time.

Import the file into FP either using the File Menu | Import or drag/drop it
into your current open web prior to using on your pages.

is it a hyperlink?
I think fireworks might be making vml graphics and you're putting them on
your page. when fp saves the embedded images it may be converting them to
gif files or something.
how exactly are you putting them into FrontPage. what type of file
extension do they have?

You need to first resize them as needed in a graphic/image application then
import into FP before using.
