Text pasts as an image

When I copy text, from Word, to Outlook, it copies as an image. I have tried
reinstalling Office 'till I am blue in the face.

This seems to be a problem with Outlook, not Office/Word.

Open a message in Outlook, and select Edit > Edit message, before you paste
the text.

You can also try copying the text to Notepad and then into Outlook. There is
also a utility called PureText that converts text into raw-text.

this problem. I'm using 2003 for both.

I notice that Outlook 2003 uses Word as it's email editor.
