My button text looks great when previewing in FP 2003 but
when I publish the page the text looks bad. Am I doing
something wrong, what can I do to fix this?

Thanks in advance,
Deborah

Button text looks perfect to me on IE6, Netscape, Opera and Mozilla.

I guess I am just being too picky but IF you will look at
the curves and angles you will see they are jagged... it
is actually no where near the quality that you see in the
preview within the program. Thanks crash, I appreaciate
it.

Nothing jagged here, and I even cleaned my glasses. It looks very nice.

Have you tried clearing your browser cache files and then viewing it again??

There's no reason that what you see when using "Preview in Browser", and what you see when you look
at the live site should be different.

You would have to create your button image w/text in a graphic application to solve this.

Not an answer to your question but... FYI... I'm using IE6. I agree that the text on the buttons does not look "crisp." It is perfectly readable, however. It's not bad, but I would be looking for a way to make it "nicer" too. Sorry I couldn't help, but I hope to learn something from yor post.

I use MS Image Composer 1.5 (no longer available), that has function call Smoothing, which blend the
text color into the background color. I am sure PhotoShop and other have a similar function as well.

It's gonna depend on your monitor and settings as well. On my crappy old 19" monitor set at 1028 and true color they look great. If I set the res down to 640 then, yes they look jaggy, but then again so does everything else at 640.

Photoshop has anti-aliasing; smooth, crisp, strong, none.

Steve,
"Preview in browser" looks jagged and thinner also, but
preview in FP looks great, clean and bold. I can live
with the way it is but would love for it to be cleaner.
Off to Photoshop if I want it better. :)

I'm glad you can see what I am talking about! LOL, I

more "Crisp" when publishing.
