Text is automatically realigning

I've got several titles on various slides in powerpoint that I keep aligning
in the center of the slide but when I open the project next the text is
re-aligned to the left. I've tried changing the alignment through the
various ways to do it and none have worked. Any suggestions would be much
appreciated.

Please go to the Slide Master and center your title there. That way it will
center on all slides and stay that way.
 
I tried centering the title in the master slide but it did nothing. I went
back and centered all my title slides again and when I opened my project up
all the titles I had just centered were left aligned again. Any other
suggestions?
