text hotlinking

I have a friend who has a web site and certain words seem
to be hotlinked to other web sites,,i.e. insurance.

when view you can see the hyperlink underlined and if
clicked on takes you to another web site.

But when viewed in Netscape it does not appear and is not
seen as hotlinked.

Is there something going on in the background with IE I
use IE all the time and can not say I see this on any
other sites using certain key words.

Is it a possibility of a cookie in the background doing
this or possibly a version of IE that needs to be updated?
