Text form field in footer

Hi,

I have a simple questionnaire in a word doc and I've used text form fields
so that when the document is protected the user can only complete the right
bits and cannot amend the questions.

When the user types in their name I would like this to be replicated in the
footer. What is the best way to achieve theis please?

TIA,

AW

Insert a cross-reference in the footer, choosing "Bookmark" in the
cross-reference field and selecting the name of the form field where the
text will be entered.

The cross-reference won't update automatically. The easiest way to force an
update is to make sure the "Update fields" option is checked in the Print
tab of the Options dialog ("Update fields before printing" in the Display
tab of the Options dialog in Word 2007), and go to Print Preview and back,
or actually print the document.
