I am using word trying to make an assessment form for the mental health
center, I have it where I want it but everytime I make a text field box (one
to fill in) it pushes the line father out pushing the whole document down. I
want to have it just have enough characters to fill the line and not push the
other text out...is that possible.

Thanks,
RJ

It would be best to ask this question in a Word newsgroup. This one is for
discussions about Microsoft Access, a relational database program. The web
site is not always clear, and may have misdirected you.

This forum is for MS Access not MS Word where you would have a better chance
of getting an answer for this Question. However with that said:

How are you entering the "Text Box" are you using the Form toolbar? If so
if you select the filed that is entered and click on properties you can set
a maximum length for this field. This field will appear smaller than what
it will be with the text entered however if you lock the document as a form
u can test putting values in to ensure that it will be enough room for the
text required and also it isn't possible for the text to carry on to a new
line.

If you are not using the the selection from the form toolbar what are you
using?
