Text field color

On my IE 6, some text fields are displayed with a yellow background. This
applies to many sites as well as Web apps. I have written. I can see no
rhyme or reason for why only certains fields have this yellow background.

Is it an IE setting?

Try this: Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Browsing
Uncheck the Enable 3rd party browser extensions

If this clears your problem then find out who the culprit(s) is/are with
these tools.
