text disappear

after haveing my computer on for a while all of a sudden
all my text begins to disapear... examples are all the text
in the taskbar, the start button text, all instant
messaging text, all dialog box text. A dialog always comes
up when it happens, but i can't read it because i can't see
the text.
 
Check your Event Viewer, for clues as to what is causing this problem. See
Help & Support, "event viewer."
