Text data type - unicode compression

Hi:

I'm using Access 2000 and am trying to increase the field
size of a text field past 255 using unicode compression
set to Yes. For some reason when I import data to the
table, my text still gets truncated at 255. Please let me
know if anyone knows how to fix this. All I want to do is
be able to import and use large paragraphs of information
into text fields, but can't get 'past' the 255 ruled!
