Text Boxes Randomly Grouping

Word v.2002 SP3, OS XP Professional

I am building a family tree of high profile donors. I am inserting
text boxes and lines, I have the track changes enabled. For one family
I currently have 14 pages. On page 7 I want to add a new text box and
when I do it attaches it to the boxes that have changes marked. Not
attached like a group but as if the boxes now mirror each other. If I
delete one they all delete. If I make text changes they all change.

Has anyone had this issue?
