When I click on the Text Box on the drawing toolbar, I
get this huge box (Create Your Drawing Here) - How can I
get rid of that so it doesn't pop up every time I click
the Text Box option?

Karen,

Tools>Options>General. There is an option near the bottom something like
"automatically open drawing canvass when inserting autoshapes" Uncheck it.
