Text box right aligned cut on the right

Davide

Hi...
I'm printing some numbers into tex boxes right aligned.
The text boxes are wider than needed, so no reason to cut the numbers showed
inside.
However the number is cut on the rigth.
Can someone help me?
Thank you in advance...

Davide,
That's not a lot of info to work with, but...

My first guess is that you've exceeded the margin on the right hand side
of the report.
**For a test, place that control in the middle (horizontally) of the report.
Can you see all the digits?
If so, then it's a margin problem.

If not, then we need more info, and perhaps an example of what you see.
Such as...
Is this control on the main form, or is it in a subform?
Is the control on the right side of the report?
What is the actual value vs. what you see as "cut off."

Thank you Al...
Here's some more information...

I'm working with Access XP SP3.

The text box is already in the middle of the report and it's 4 cm wide, even
though the number showed inside needed less than 2.5 cm.
Suppose the text box contains "1.200,30"... What I see in the print preview
is exactely "1.200,30", while when if I print this report, I will see the
last number on the right (0) cut off: so, instead "0" I see "C" (in other
words I can see just half number)...
This looks like when you are displaying a number too long for the text box
you are using, but it isn't... and also the text box is aligned on the right,
so you should see this problem on the left and not on the right...
The report is based on a query and every record contains in the middle one
of these text boxes which are affected by this problem.
In addition, no subreport is used...
Eventually, I noticed that this problem doesn't affect Access 2003, but at
this point we can't change Access XP, yet...
I hope this is a little bit clearer than before...
Thank you again...

Davide,
So this is in A2007?
Something's amiss here...

Any chance you can send me the MDB? Or, just the tables and reports
involved?
If you can, please zip the .mdb and use my Contact address on my website
(below)
No charge... confidentiality assured.
I just don't think "guessing" at what might be causing this problem will
be fruitful.

If you can't do that... you can add a "I'm reposting..." post to this
thread, and try a new post.
Someone may still jump in on this post though...

Davide,
Try this... move all other fields well away from the problem field.
(above, to either side, and below)
Still fail?
Then consider my suggestion to send the mdb.

Al...
That fields are 0,5 cm away...
Still waiting for approval in order to send you the db...
Thank you again...

Hi Chuck, thank you...
I'll gess and then I'll let you know...
As I replied to Al, these fields are 0,5 cm away of the others...
I used two different printers and both had the problem...

Davide,
Please use the term "newsgroup" in your subject.
And... describe how you call the report...
My aniti-spam is pretty aggresive.

Hi Al...
Eventually, the man in charge of this software decided to pass from Access
2002 to Access 2003... (I've told him since 2 years!!!) ...
There the problem doesn't happen, so, even though it could be nivce to
investigate on this spooky issue, we will leave this.
Thank you again for your support and also for your availability to debug our
software.
It was nice to know someone can support us!
Thanx!
