Text box backgrounds turned yellow

I have built a click-through application prototype with
various linked pages in FP 2003. All pages reside on my
local machine, there is no database behind the prototype
and it has not been published. Each page has multiple
text boxes for inputing data.

For some reason the background for some, but not all of
these text edit boxes have turned yellow. This has just
occured after several weeks where their background was
white like the rest.

I can find no color attributes to change.

Any ideas?

Steve,
Does it actually publish out onto the web like that...?
If so, can you post a URL?

GRW,
wow, great great point!! Steve, the Auto-Fill function in the new Google
Toolbar may be your culprit. And if it is, I wouldn't sweat it. I think that
Google Toolbar may be one of the greatest things to come down the pike in a
couple of years in the Internet world. Your end users will recognize those
boxes for what they are.

Tim

Do you use the google toolbar?
It will change the color of known textboxes.

Thanks for the response. No, it isn't published. I'm
developing a prototype for an application and the files
are on my local machine. At this point it is simply to
review page concepts with the users to validate their
requirements with regard to content, and logical flow.
Most of the pages have text edit boxes for capturing
information, some list boxes for selecting options, etc.

Once reviewed and accepted, it will be the basis for
building the logic and database before publishing.

I can't understand why these text edit boxes have turned
yellow. There are also a few list boxes that have also
turned yellow.

Thanks.

Steve - Crest makes White Strips for plaque... maybe your boxes have plaque.

hee hee

Seriously, I'll keep thinking on it.... I'll be back if I think of something.

Did you recently install any Google tools? There is one that does this to
certain form fields when displayed on a computer having it installed.

Kevin,
Yes, I installed the Google toolbar. It has a nice pop-
up blocker. Would this be the problem?

I've also tried looking at the fonts, etc. No luck.
I also copied an adjacent text edit box (white
background) and replaced the yellow one ... it is also
now yellow.

Is there a way to fix the Google problem? Thanks.

Thanks guys. I uninstalled the Google toolbar and
everything went back to normal. I asked Google if there
was a way to correct it. Thanks again.

That is probably the Google toolbar. It highlights the field it can auto
enter values for you by turning them yellow.

To disable the feature:
- open your browser
- click on the "Google" graphic next to the search box
- Select "Options"
- Select the "More" tab
- Clear the "Automatically highlight fields that AutoFill can fill" checkbox
