Hi! I have a specific template background I'm using and I want my text to be
white. Yet everytime I click in a text box to type, the background is white
and I can't see what I'm typing. How can I fix this without having to change
the textbox background color (and then change it back to no fill), or font
color, on everyslide to see what I'm typing?

Thanks!

If you click on the boundary of your textbox it will be filled with the
background and you will be able to see your white letters.

Thanks JanAdam for the reply,

I still have the problem when I click in the box to "type" that the
background turns white and I white text blends in.
How can I change the "highlighted" color in the text box?

Jason,

Sounds like a badly designed template.

You need to change the "background color" in the "color scheme" to something
that closely resembles your background color.

(97/2000) Format menu > slide color scheme
(xp/2003) format menu > slide design > color shemes > edit color schemes
(really low down!)

If you start a new text box, go to format -> textbox -> fill -> color and
select automatic, this would do what you want. Then if you check 'default for
new objects' it is supposed to keep it until changed. However, as I tested,
it reverts to 'no fill'. Somebody more knowlegeble is needed. Sonia?
