Text autosize in textboxes

Is there anyway to get the text within a textbox to autosize? I can get the
textbox itself to adjust when more text is inserted, but I don't want the
text to wrap. If the textbox is already the width of the page and the text
is too long, it just cuts off the additional text. I know it can be done in
Publisher, but Publisher is not an option for me at this time.

If you insert a table cell in the text box, there is an option in the Cell
Options (Table Properties | Cell | Options) to resize text automatically.
