is there way to test unknown application(single exe), to make it run in
a 'sandbox' first, do not allowing it to write to registry or install
any files?

No. Use a virtual machine created in either Virtual PC, VMWare, or even
Parallels. Or use a testbed computer.

what about a Virtual Sandbox™ 1.0? Is there some utilities that just
prevent writing to registry, writing to ini, and changing or replacing
any system files?

I don't know about that program. I use virtual machines and testbed
machines. Try it and find out and report back to the rest of us.

What about making a new limited account then when you want to run that kind of
program, make a shortcut and in shortcut properties > Advanced > Run with different
..... then run the program and choose the limited account..

You can also right click the exe file then choose Run as...
If you cant see Run as.. try holding Shift key when right clicking.

Take Malke's advice. A virtual machine is the way to go. Virtual PC is free
and easy to use.

How this will be more detaily? What changes program can do in this
case?(replace files, write to registry) What we can restrict, etc? How
to make a new limited account, in detail? (win xp home)
