Terrible site

It takes minutes to post a question. A student in web programming 101 could
do way better.

Usenet beats web forums any day.

A: Because it messes up the order in which people normally read text.
Q: Why is top-posting such a bad thing?

And those who use newsreaders here usually opt for the clunkiest
newsreader. ;-)

I don't find Knode to work any faster/better than Winmail. Just different
options.

Andrew:
If you came here to seek assistance or give assistance this site may
be better. Coming here to just complain makes it worse. I have extreme
problems with 101 classes because the product is a know-it-all that has no
idea of the real world. Have a great day.

Well, that's debatable. I hate the slowness of Forums, but some of the
features like editing a post is what I like most. The ability to search way
back, since not all news server carry all posts forever, Some allow
attaching files (like DX DIAGs) and there is never a debate around top
posting in forums.

I like usenet, because OE\WM have spell checkers, I can sort off replies ot
my posts, it's mucho faster, I never have to re-type something again,
because the forums died\disconnected me when I hit the post button.

I'd say it's kinda split down teh middle for me

Knode is generally considered by many to be light on the system, easy to
use, fast and unobtrusive. You mentioned "those who use newsreaders here
usually opt for the clunkiest newsreader", but when I compare it (a
purported good newsreader) against the supposedly "clunky" Winmail, I see no
differences in performance, only in the available options. So what makes
Winmail "crap" for you, Scott?

So go NNTP instead of HTTP. Decent newsreaders make life in a busy
newsgroup like this a LOT easier to cope with.

I use Agent for binary groups but for text groups I much prefer OE or WM.I used to use Agent, shifted over to Gravity..
