Click Start, Run and type Services.msc
Double-click "Terminal Services" entry to check the service status.

The question you really might be asking.. is how do i know that i cannect to
terminal services?

If the services is started (and there really isn't any reason to believe it
isn't if you have elicitly changed it) go to start menu.. control panel...
system.. and slelect remote... remote desktop should be checked if you want
to connect remotely to your pc. Also note that an account must have a
password to connect and that by default only adminstrators can connect
remotely. If you would like to add a non-admin account you must add the
account to the remote dektop users group.
