Terminal Service Licensing

Question: I activated the terminal services application mode and purchased two terminal service CALs. I then registered my two terminal service licenses. By activating the Terminal Service in Application Mode do I have deactivate the trial application mode of terminal services or will it expire by itself? This is what I see in the Terminal Services Licensing.

Thank you.

Yes, by activating the TS Licensing server, you automatically end the
grace period of the Terminal Server.

When you move over to application mode, the temporary
liceses that are issed will still continue to be issued,
but they will expire eventually or be replaced by official
licenses. When a device first connects to a terminal
server, it is always issued a temporary license, and when
that user is authenticated, that temporary license is then
marked to be replaced by a permantent TSCAL. The next
time you connect and authenticate, that tempoary TSCAL
that was marked for removal is removed and officially
replaced with a permanent TSCAL.
