terminal service and remote desktop

I see both terminal service and remote desktop in XPE TD.

terminial service component is much smaller then remote desktop.

If I only install terminal service, and can I connect using remote desktop
client?

Not sure what you have called by "remote desktop" component.
You will have do include "Terminal Server Remote Desktop" and resolve its
dependencies (will bring "Terminal Services Core" and more).

Read more about RDP. Consider your RDP usage - are you going to remotely
connect (RDP) to your device (need server components), or to RDP to a server
from the device (need terminal server client).
