Users conecting to remote desktop over VPN maps printer fine but the
connection is slow. I am letting them connect over public IP to cut down on
overhead and that works better but it does not map the printer.
How to fix?

Thanks in advance.

The printer is an HP 6210 MFP shared from an XP Pro workstation in the remote
office. It connects tot he workstation via USB.
I am not sure what you mean by "defined," but it is simply mapped that way
one would normally connect to a shared printer on a LAN. They have it set as
their defualot printer.

As I said, it (printer) works fine when the users RDC over VPN, but straight
through by public IP and the printer does not show up.

Thanks,
Charlie
