terminal server on xp pro?

I want to run a terminal server on an XP pro box. Can I install it
separately from the server OS? I don't need a full blown server at my remote
office, but I would like the local user and myself to work on the same
quickbooks file simultaneously. Remote desktop only allows me one session at
a time either local or remote.

And that's all Windows XP is designed to do. There are third-party
alternatives like PCAnywhere (http://www.symantec.com) or VNC
(http://www.realvnc.com) that can allow simultaneous use.

No, you can't install TS on XP Pro - the suggestions Richard made will only
allow interactive sessions, not two separate login sessions - not sure if
that's what you're asking. XP Pro/RD supports only one login.
