Can somebody enlighten me?

Lately I cannot seem to view the contents on the "Temp
Internet Files Folder" using any other application other
than My Computer or Explorer. I presume this is some form
of scurity measure put in by Microsoft. I cannot find
anyway of how to turn this feature off. I use ACDSee to
manage my images and I receive a lot of images (cartoons
and clipart) in HTML pages via email which I then copy to
other folders for safekeeping.

Can anybody help?

In IE, tools, Internet Options... general tab, view files. Is this what you mean?

No

My cache is E\Temporary Internet Files. If I
open "E\Temporary Internet Files" in Exporer I can see
the contents of the folder. However When I am using
ACDsee or Paintshop Pro Browser I cannot see the contents
of "E\Temporary Internet Files".

Change the attribute of the folder from system to read only. See attrib in
help. Many programs ignore completely things with the system attribute.
