When a Word file is opened there is an extra temporary file. For example:

My opened file - - TSCSuccess
Extra file ~$CSuccess

I know the tempory files can be deleted as I read the mvp article on how to
do it. I also know some of the temp files disapper when you close your open
file. However, when you have a lot of files open you see these extra temp
files and I wondered if there was a way to hide these files? Thanks from the
user who asked me to find out.

The file you are describing is the "owner file." There is no way to hide it.
