Temporary files

My daughter spent hours writing a paper, but when she saved it, she was in
her e-mail account and it saved to a temp file. Now she cannot find it. Can
she recover it?

Just for clarification...
Was she typing her paper in Word 2007?
....or was she typing it as an email to send to her instructor?

You should never open Word attachments directly from e-mail - however it
*may* be possible to recover your changes. See
