Templets

monty

I have recently upgraded from Windows 98 to xp pro. I am
using MS office 2000. I have copies of all the templets
I used on my old computer but although I copied them into
the office templets/other documents folder they do not
show up when selecting New Document when opening word.
What have I done wrong. Also I cannot find the folder
where the Normal (blank document) resides. I know
someone can help.
Thanks,
Monty

You need to put your templates in the User Templates folder shown on the
File Locations tab of Tools | Options. For more, see "OFF2000: How Office
2000 Manages Templates [KB 240216]" at
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=240216

.Put them here. This is where you should also find
normal.dot.
C:\Documents and Settings\your name\Application
Data\Microsoft\Templates
