Templates and Spell Check

I created a template and locked it, but when I create a
new document from the template, spell check does not
work. If I leave the template unlocked spell check works,
but you can't just tab from field to field and fill them
out. How can you lock a template, so the user can go from
field to field and still have Spell Check work? Thank you.
