Template Title

Hi

I am using PowerPoint XP & 2003. I have created a default template (which I
have named blank.pot) I would like to change the name that appears at the
bottom in the powerpoint task bar area, its showing as Blank I would like it
to show my company name. Please could you point me in the right direction.
I have tried changing the title of the file before saving it as a template
but that didn't work.

Many thanks for your time.
Kerry.

I think I understand your need. Try this.

Click View > Slide master
Right click on Master pair that you want to same
Select Rename - Enter desired name
Close master view

Resave as you have previously done to get your pot file.

When you reopen PowerPoint your template will appear in the task pain with
the name you gave it when in slide master view.

The name that appears is the name of the Master that the slide is based on; to
change it, choose View, Master, Slide Master. In the slide thumbnails pane at
the left of the screen, right-click the master whose name you want to change
and choose Rename Master from the popup menu.

Once you rename the master, slides based upon it will show the new name in the
status bar.
