Template does not appear as intended

I created an outlook Template in MS Outlook 97 and now our PCs have
been upgraded to Outlook 2003. I can still open the template and use
it without any problem but there is one user who could not see the
'forms' I created. When she opens the .oft file, it only opens as a
regular blank email message. The template has form built-in the message
area. But, she could not see the form at all.

Does anyone know why this is happening? I checked with another user
and he was able to open the template okay. I checked to see if it's
due to her outlook preferences, but so far she and I have the same
preferences. Although when she sent me a screen capture of her
Outlook, the toolbars are different than mine. I verified that we are
both running the same version of Outlook.

I hope I explain this properly.

Thank you,
Sharon

Beginning with Outlook 2003 SP2, users can work with most .oft form templates files only by opening the template from the Tools | Forms | Choose Form dialog, browsing for User Templates in File System. This means that if the .oft file is sent as a message attachment, the user must save it to the local hard drive first.

The article at http://support.microsoft.com/?id=907985 explains this change in more detail, suggests best practices, and provides registry keys that can return Outlook 2003 to the older, less secure behavior.

Thanks Sue. We tried it the long way (via Tools menu) and she's able
to see it now.
