Template- Auto Tab-Highlight

I am trying to figure out how to create a template that will hightlight a
name or address throughout the document, so that when I open it it will
automatically tab over to those sections and I can change or add new info
where the hightlighted used to be..
can anyone help? what is this called?

It may be that what you want is a protected form. If so, see

If you want to be able to edit the document normally after filling in the
variable information, you may be happier with MacroButton fields; see
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/TblsFldsFms/UsingMacroButton.htm. You can't tab
between these, but F11 will take you to the next one.
