Temp Internet Files are full... but they aren't

I am experiencing problems such as the inability to view the source of
web pages, and also when I try to view PDFs Acrobat says it can't find
the file after the download finishes, so I have to save the PDF to my
desktop and then open it that way.

These issues disappear when I clear my temp internet files, which I do
several times a day. I have tried setting my TIF from 50MB up to 2GB
in size, neither makes a difference.

I even downloaded a program called PurgeIE and ran that, but it appears
that didn't help either.

And I don't have notepad on my desktop, which I saw is a possible issue
for viewing the viewsource.

I am running the google desktop search and Avant Browser (IE Extension)
on this machine, but I can't find any tie between either of those to my
problem.

Any suggestions?

also, your cache may be corrupted, see the following:

Hope this helps

I tried the one method of switching the temp internet folder to another
folder and I haven't run into any problems yet. Seems that folder
might have been corrupted.
