Some files and folders I can delete no problem.

Some Files UAC activates

Remaining files say I do not have permission to delete... WHY NOT ! ... ;-)

Just doesn't make sense, any ideas ?

Download the free CCleaner (Crap Cleaner) http://www.ccleaner.com/.

It will clean out everything for you - sort of like a system enema! (-:

Hi Richard thanks for response..

I already have CCcleaner and the ones that say I do not have permission
Ccleaner doesn't spot they are in there...lol

I downloaded the latest ccleaner and it does see files in the
user\appdata\temp folder and deletes except the ones which says I dont have
permission, which it doesn't even find in the folder... ;-(

Have you reviewed your temp folder ?

I am administrator of the machine, joined to a domain. Am going to try
logging in localy to see if pc administrator can deleted them

My temp folders are pretty much cleaned out after use. Yes, there are files,
which are currently in use, that can't be deleted. This is normal, and
Windows XP has this same condition. You can't delete an active file.
