Temp files be deleted?

Have a problem with Norton AV 2007 with errors coming up even in safe mode.
Even unchecked the zip file scanning with not success. In normal mode
winxp-pro comes up with error message when scanning a file in
c:\d&s\allusers.winxp\ap...\1180499838jtun enfwcful.331.full.zip. In looking
further into the report it shows
c:\doc...\dad...\locals~1\temp\wer4e3f.dir00\mini061907-01.dmp as well as in
c:\.................\temp\update.xml.

Was thinking for deleting these files and trying again. Can they be deleted
safely and if so, can other files in temp directories be deleted?

If not, any have suggestions in finding out where my problem is?

run clean manager and
see if windows can clear
up unnecessary files for
you.

go to start > run > cleanmgr.

What are the exact errors you're getting?

Yes they can be safely deleted. Any that are in use and are part of a running
process that starts at boot will not be deletable in Normal mode, you will need to
delete them in Safe Mode. Others that are not part of a running process but have a
task to complete will require a reboot before you can delete them.
If not, any have suggestions in finding out where my problem is?
