Temp file

I have this huge file (~3Gb) in the Temp folder
(C:\Documents and Settings\Sebastien Thuault\Local
Settings\Temp) of my machine (XP Pro). I have no idea
what it is and I do not know if I can delete it or not. I
cannot open it even with WordPad or Word as it shuts the
program directly. It is not deleted when I try to clean
the disk as it doesn't seem to be recognized as a
temporary file by the system. It was created recently
(August). Its name is ztvF3.tmp. Has anyone a clue of
what it is and if I can delete it without any problems
after?

Hi

I don't know what that file refers to, but temp files - after a reboot - that haven't got today's date on - should be safe to delete. Having said the default size of the Recycle Bin is 10% of the size of the hard disk/partition. Try right clicking on it and then 'Delete' - if it won't go in to the RB - and you don't want to delete it immediately, you can increase the size of the RB - right click on the desktop icon for the Recycle Bin and select Properties - alter the sliding bar.

Failing that right click on the file, hold down the Shift key and then 'Delete' - that will bypass the Recycle Bin.
