temp file

Every time a colleague save an excel file it saves a .tmp file at same time
can anybody tell me where to switch this action off

Some have reported back that it's not excel--it's their antivirus program not
cleaning up after itself.

Maybe you could disable the AV (just temporarily) and see if the problem goes
away.
