telnet

I use telnet to connect to a server on my office network.
I use windows XP on my home PC. After telnetting to the
server and while i am typing the LOGINID & PWD, every
character typed appears twice on the screen and the
password is EVEN visible. However, i am able to logiin on
tothe server correctly. This used to not happen when i
use W2000 from another machine. Any idea why this is
happening ?
