Televising PPT presentations on multiple monitors

I want to televise a single 10-15 minute PPT presentation (with audio and
video clips) on 4-8 monitors/HDTVs for training purposes. What would be the
"recommended" approach:

(1) Covert entire file to a video clip using third party software, use
generic DVD player, use 34" HDTVs (LCD or plasmas)
(2) Keep as PPT, use a desk top computer, use large monitors (not sure I can
find 34" monitors)

Questions on (1): How good quality will I get in the conversion?
Questions on (2): Can I simply hook up multiple monitors to one computer
output?

I'd go down the

1 computer /laptop running the presentation

and a splitter/distribution amp box running the other monitors with best
quality cabling.
