Tektronix / Xerox Phaser 750 printing quality

Hello,

Our newly aquired (used) Phaser 750 printer has kind of a problem with
reproduction of solid colors, all printouts feature "Noise" positioned
in direction in which paper travels thru the printer. This is
especially visible on the areas with solid colors.

Here is the image of footer from standard printouts as a sample:

And here is the same page pictured with flash (Colors are way off, but
the noise is well seen)

We also have a Phaser 780 and the problem also exists there but on a
much, much smaller scale. Is there any way to remove or at least
lessen the extend of that "noise"?

By the way, is there a professional name for this problem?

Best Regards

Kirill

Could be the fuser unit or the paper thicknes set wrong if thr paper
is from the multipurpose tray. I would try a new fuser roll
