A bit off topic.

Apologies.

I use Win98 and our office just purchased a new computer with WinXP.

When viewing the desktop, all of the icons and type are very small. Does
anyone know how to enlarge the display?

In Win98, I believe it would be:

My Computer /
Control Panel /
Display /
Appearance TAB

Any advice on the steps using Win XP would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Right click on the desktop
Select "Properties"
Select "Appearance"
select "Effects"
Check use "Large Icons"

That should work

BTW, you can also get there by going to Start/Control
Panel/Display/Appearance/Effects, check Large Icons

It also has do with the resolution of the new monitor.

Not sure what you mean.

Please explain if you have a moment.
Thank you very much.

1280 x 1024 will display text, etc, at smaller size than at 1024 x 768 or 800 x 600.
